Towards a sustainable Agulhas Plain

It took six years for the Nuwejaars Wetland Special Management Area (SMA) to evolve from a vague concept to a working venture.

Today the Special Management Area, implemented across private farmland on the Agulhas Plain in the Overberg, is the only one of its kind in South Africa.
